It is not necessary to keep strict diets and exercise hard in order to bring your figure to perfection. Researchers from the National Institutes of Health in America conducted research to discover how the different eating habits affect on food and received many unexpected results.
During this study, they examined 21 overweight people aged 18 and 40 who initially lost 10 to 15% of its weight – an average of about 14 kg, and then after their weight had been stabilized, each of the respondents began to follow one of the following three offered diets for 4 weeks:
The restricted diet of fat, or 20% of calories from fat.
The restricted diet of carbohydrates, about 10% of them contained these diet foods.
Diet with a lower glycemic index diet that includes large intake of healthy fats and whole grains.
According to the results, reduced dietary intake carbohydrates was the most effective. During all three diets, participants ate the same amount of calories, and, therefore, these results were unexpected. The group that ate smaller amounts of carbohydrates used to spend an additional 300 calories per day compared to those respondents who ate less fat. Even those who ate foods with low index lost an additional 150 calories more than those who were on the diet without fat.
One possible explanation is that these two types of diets do not cause a huge rise in blood sugar and reduced carbohydrates affect your metabolism to work better and faster. If you and your body have less fat and more muscle mass, then the best way to achieve this is if you reduce the intake of carbohydrates.
