Mustard is one great condiment and is versatile, in cooking is a marvel, but it’s vital ingredients allowed us to use it in all sorts of way ranging from health, personal care, gardening, cleaning, and more!
Here are some of the uses of mustard:
1. Relieve sore muscles
If you have sore muscles, a mustard-infused bath is an amazing remedy!
Just fill up the tub, combine 2 tablespoons of mustard with 1 teaspoon of Epsom salt in your the warm bath water and sink your body in it.
Mustard increases the therapeutic effects of an Epsom salt soak– which will relieve deeper muscle pains more quickly.
2.Keep pests out of your garden
If you’ve tried all remedies you could think of to keep critters away from your garden with no success, mustard might be the solution for you! Just take a plate cover it in mustard and place it onto the corners of your garden. This will keep larger mammals like deer away by confusing them by scent.
3.Or use it to get rid of weeds
Use white mustard seeds to keep them away because the seeds will release nutrients into the soil of your garden that inhibits the growth of weeds.
Grab a handful of the seeds,scatter them throughout your garden and watch how the number of weeds in your garden declines significantly!
4.Clean greasy pans
If you’ve got pans with grease stains you should try to whip out with the mustard.
Take some mustard powder,sprinkle it onto your greasy paint and use a brush to scrub away. The mustard powder absorbs the grease and helps to deodorize the pan.
5.Avoid leg cramps
Did you know that one of the primary ingredients in mustard is acetic acid, and it helps the body make more acetylcholine? If you have little acetylcholine it can cause contraction a leg cramp. You don’t need to apply it to your body , just consume it to keep the cramps at bay.
6.Soothe a burn
For minor burns, mustard can work wonders in relieving the pain. When you applying it may sting at first, but the pain will soon begin to dissipate .
7.Or soothe a sore throat
If you have a sore throat, mustard is a great way to fight off inflammation. Just grab half a cup of hot water and mix in a tablespoon of mustard, honey, salt, and lemon juice. When combined this ingredient produces powerful anti-inflammatory effects that help soothe the muscles in your throat .
8. Relieve chest congestion
White mustard seed is the perfect remedy for relieving chest congestion because it can stimulate circulation.
Rub some mustard onto your chest then grab a warm cloth and dampen the cloth with warm water .Then place it directly on top of the mustard and try to relax.
Soon the congestion will fade away and you’ll be feeling better !
