Once the mixture is dissolved into the water, all you need to do is simply drink it twice a day for a week, then once a day for another week. Another recipe calls for simply rinsing out your mouth with the same drink. Both of these recipes suggest carrying the mixture with you at all times in a small bottle to combat cravings at any time. Another recipe suggests simply putting a pinch of pure baking soda onto your tongue when you feel the urge to smoke. There is even mention of soaking a cigarette into the solution and allowing it to dry before smoking it, though there is not much information available on this method.

IMPORTANT: Baking soda should not be used as a substitute for healthy alkaline diet. Also, baking soda should not be used indefinitely.
