An ear infection, or otitis media, is a painful inflammation of the middle ear. Most middle ear infections occur within the Eustachian tube, which connects the ears, nose, and throat and since this tube is shorter at babies and little kids, ear infections are very common during the winter and spring period.Ear infections often follow a cold. Bacteria or viruses are the likely culprits. The infection causes inflammation and swelling of the Eustachian tube. The tube narrows and fluid builds behind the eardrum, causing pressure and pain.
So instead running to a doctor every time when you or some other member of your family gets an Ear infection here is a great way to get rid of the pain.
Forget about pills or ear drops all you need are cotton white socks and Epsom salt(Epsom salt is a time-tested natural remedy that is perfect for aches and pains, and ear infections are no exception).
There are 3 steps in preparing this home remedy:
1.Put Epsom salt in the sock and tie it
2. Heat the salt-filled sock on a skillet. Use medium-low heat and keep flipping the shock back and forth until the salts are warm, but not hot. It’s important to use a white sock for this because the dye on colored socks can burn easily.
And last step:
3.Take the sock, put it on an infected ear and in only a few minutes you will fell relief ,the pain will be gone. So you will save yourself a trip to a doctor and some money too .
NOTICE: YOU CAN REUSE THE SOCK AS MANY TIMES NEEDED.
